press releaserelease detailSamsung launches Printer Partner Programme in the UK, Spain, Belgium and the NetherlandsDesigned to support and reward Samsung’s valued printer partners, the programme will be extended across Europe by 2010 6 July 2009, Chertsey, Surrey – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a leading brand in the world of consumer electronics and information technology, today announced the launch of its Printer Partner Programme in the UK, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, with plans to extend the programme across Europe by 2010. Clearly demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to its channel partners, the programme supports the company’s continued growth in the office printing market. Samsung takes its printing hardware, supplies and software to market through a network of valued reseller partners. Based on industry standards, the Printer Partner Programme aims to help Samsung’s channel partners achieve profitable growth, by providing the best possible products, support and service to businesses. It has been developed to encourage strong partnerships, through transparency and consistency. “We are making real progress towards our goal of becoming a leader in the office printing market by 2013, and this is in no small part thanks to our existing channel relationships,” explained Anthony Penton, Head of Marketing, UK Printing Division, Samsung Electronics. “Our increased market share and number one position in the European A4 Colour Multifunction Printer Segment1 is testimony to this. As satisfying as this success is, we need to continue to strengthen our channel relationships, so that both Samsung and our partners thrive and grow in this competitive market.” The Printer Partner Programme is collaborative, flexible and structured around three tiers which are dependent upon clearly defined business targets: • Registered Partner: By registering the company on the Printer Partner Portal, resellers have access to Samsung’s sales tools, marketing campaigns, online training and regular communications. As part of the new Printer Partner Programme, Samsung has expanded its training options and services to further support channel partners. The flexible training programme now offers modules delivered through a network of Samsung classrooms and solution centres, as well as the Samsung To make it easy for channel partners to find valuable information and stay-in-touch, Samsung has also developed an online gateway called the Printer Partner Portal. The portal provides a range of resources from product information and training tools, to co-branded marketing materials and business planning templates.
