press releaserelease detailProducers Unite To Launch Industry ResourceA collective of freelance integrated agency producers have partnered to launch The Poolhouse, a unique industry resource which allows agency executives to source freelance production talent quickly and easily. The Poolhouse, a collective, will launch officially on Tuesday, November 24th, backed by the website www.thepoolhouse.tv ![]() West Coast Pool House The initiative is borne out of a collective of integrated freelance producers who, over the past three years, have shared information and experiences to enhance the knowledge and skills of each other. The initiative allows them an outlet to market their skill sets and make their services more easily accessible. At launch the details of 35 producers will be available through the group portal www.thepoolhouse.tv They work internationally, as well as throughout the United States, most are bi-coastal. The Poolhouse itself is not a service and does not take fees, instead functioning as an industry resource to create awareness that members of the group are available when a producer is needed. It is still up to the potential employer to do their due diligence as they presently do and request references and make sure an individual producer is a right fit for the job. The Poolhouse will be adding another five producers to the collective in the next month, then capping it off to create some manageability for the time being. Each poolhouse member comes equipped with a wiredrive site in order to keep their jobs organized and bidding process more streamlined for our employers and vendors. Those looking for a freelancer can access the site and click on the “meet our producers” option to scroll through the list of member names and view portfolios. Individual emails are provided for direct contact and users can link through to producers’ stand-alone websites or wiredrive reels. The Poolhouse (email inquiries fielded to Julie Rousseau and Veronica Beach) will then check within the group for availability and pass along contact information. Member/Co-Founder, Veronica Beach, says the idea is to make it easier for freelance professionals and employers to connect. She says that the group represents some of the industry’s great producers. However, she does preface that each producer is at different levels and so it is still up to the employer to do their due diligence. This collective has been a slowly widening circle of connected professionals since 2007, existing on an excel spreadsheet and communicating on group emails, so the website was a ‘baby-step’ for the group. We already rely on each other to spread information and experience, so it made sense to build a resource to reflect that and aid our members and the industry at large. She says, “Give us time and we will evolve and change as organically as we started. We have many exciting ideas and growth to come ie; eventually adding a calendar of availability to the site, ‘poolrates’ with various hotels in LA/NY and London, and who knows maybe even group Healthcare. We will also be getting involved in various charity organizations to help keep us balanced and in the community besides work.” Lastly, she stated: We all look for a home to hang our hat, a smiling face to come home to, and at the end of the day, we all just decided to build our own house… the poolhouse.” The website has been designed by Clickfire Media and goes live on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 Credits: For more information contact: |
