press releaserelease detailS4C extends its successful Digital Text service, enabled by emuse absolutely, to the Freeview platform.September 6th 2007. Today, S4C announces the launch of its comprehensive bilingual Digital Text service on the Freeview platform. S4C Digital Text on Freeview closely resembles the service currently available on SKY and has been developed in partnership with emuse. S4C viewers on Freeview will be able to access the service by pressing the TEXT or the red button on the remote control. They will be directed to the main menu, which offers information in many categories such as Programmes, Weather, A to Z, Children, learning Welsh and S4C 2 “There was a hugely positive response to the interactive services offered for the first time on S4C’s coverage of the 2006 Royal Welsh Show. This latest new service sees S4C delivering offerings to its audience consistent with those of the biggest broadcasters in the world.” The content available on the service has been updated and extended for S4C by Testun and Acen.
