![]() TV's McQueen family go to the South of France What: Chocolate Martini Clothing Fashion Show -Summer 2010 When: Saturday 5th September at 4pm Where: Provencal beach, Juan-les-Pins, French Riviera Who: Leah Hackett, (Tina Reilly), Claire Cooper (Jacqui McQueen), Jennifer Metcalfe, (Mercedes McQueen), Nicole Barber-Lane, (Myra McQueen) “I thought Leah looked amazing,” says Nicole Barber-Lane who played her onscreen mum Myra McQueen in the soap. “I saw her walk out and was so proud, she was so brave and an absolute natural- the transformation from how we’re used to seeing her on TV was incredible. “The clothes were wonderful too, really beautiful and original- it was a lovely afternoon.” Birthday girl Jen Metcalfe, who turned 26 the day before the show liked the clothes so much she bought herself a 49GBP peach dress on the day of the show and put in on immediately – straight off the hanger backstage! [Pictured] “Jen fell in love with the dress and asked me if I could sell it to her backstage at the show so of course I agreed,” says designer Jane Record. “And Clare Cooper bought one of my navy dresses and wore it, they looked fantastic in them.” This amazing event was to launch the designer clothing line Chocolate Martini's online web store and to showcase designs from their Summer 2010 line of women's clothing. Their web address is http://www.chocolatem.com It was at the fabulous five star sea-front Provençal Beach restaurant in Juan Les Pins on the glamorous French Riviera http://www.leprovencalbeach.com/ All proceeds from the event went to the charity RED http://www.joinred.com/Splash.aspx. And Dragon’s Den star Duncan Bannatyne’s own charity- The Bannatyne Charitable Trust. DJ Jamie Ford span at the event and live band – Jade Delayed- played at the after party at The Kitten Club in Juan Les Pins where a cake was given to Jennifer Metcalfe to celebrate her 26th birthday.
