Implements proactive and service-oriented NOC solutions using MYCOM OSI’s PrOptima™ network performance management and ProActor™ automation products
LONDON, UK – 10th February 2016 – MYCOM OSI, the leading independent provider of Next Generation Service Assurance, Automation/Orchestration, and Analytics solutions to the world’s largest Communications Service Providers (CSPs), today announced that Globe Telecom has selected MYCOM OSI Service Assurance products and solutions for its OSS transformation project.
Globe Telecom is one of the largest CSPs in the Philippines and provides its 50+ million subscribers and business customers with mobile, fixed, broadband, data, internet and managed services. It is a subsidiary of Ayala Corporation and SingTel, which are acknowledged industry leaders in the region.
Network Performance Management
As part of its OSS transformation project, Globe required a converged network performance management product that could replace multiple silo systems and manage network and service quality across all network domains, technologies and equipment vendors. On top of this, it required specific Use Case-based solutions to meet the Company’s need for faster, more cost-effective and proactive network and service operation processes that optimize customer experience and reduce churn.
MYCOM OSI was selected after a comprehensive evaluation process against leading Service Assurance and Network Equipment vendors that included a comprehensive proof of concept implementation. “Not only were MYCOM OSI’s Service Assurance products technically superior in the areas of network equipment, vendor support, flexibility and performance,” said Robert Tan, Chief Technical Advisor, Globe Telecom, “but its Use Case-based solutions will enable us to meet our business objectives at reduced cost and increased velocity of network operations.”

MYCOM OSI PrOptima™ is a converged (Fixed/IP/Mobile) Service and Network Performance Management solution with out-of-the-box support for multiple technologies, domains and equipment vendors across access, backhaul, core and service networks. It processes large volumes of performance, configuration and services data in near real time, and has advanced correlation, analysis, reporting and visualization modules. It is also highly flexible via automation, workflow and configuration capabilities.
Automation and Orchestration
MYCOM OSI ProActor™ is a Next Generation Automation and Orchestration solution that automates CSP Operations and Engineering processes based on best-practice business policies. ProActor™ can increase the speed/frequency of essential activities, accelerate issue identification and resolution, reduce manual errors, and free up valuable resources to focus on more important tasks.
