SupplierPortal is an online portal for suppliers and their buyers to share and monitor Environment, Labour, Health & Safety and Anti-Bribery & Corruption information. It is a highly scalable, affordable solution for suppliers to record their responsible sourcing information once and then publish it to multiple buyers. SupplierPortal will also calculate suppliers’ carbon, waste and water footprints based on business consumption data uploaded to the portal.
SupplierPortal has been developed in response to the growing need for buying organisations to measure and analyse their suppliers’ performance and policies across key responsible sourcing areas. With globally diverse supplier bases that can run into tens of thousands, buyers and their suppliers are faced with a number of challenges centred on processing large volumes of data, publishing it to multiple buyers and undertaking meaningful monitoring and analysis.
The benefits of SupplierPortal work both ways. For buyers, SupplierPortal is a rich information management platform providing individual supplier reports, group comparisons and customisable benchmarks. This enables buying organisations to monitor and compare supplier performance in a flexible and appropriate manner.
For suppliers, a key advantage of the web-based tool is its ability to address multiple buyer information requests efficiently through a single response in the portal. Suppliers are able to publish accurate and transparent data to existing, new and prospective customers of their choice. It also includes an easy-to-use data entry wizard for suppliers to record, calculate and report their annual carbon, waste and water footprints. Summary reports can then be downloaded and used as part of the annual reporting process.
