UK cloud host completes adidas kit campaign on day of London 2012 opening ceremony
UK cloud computing and managed hosting services provider iomart Hosting has named the final winners of its community sports campaign Host Your Kit on the day of the London Olympics opening ceremony.
The web hosting leader launched Host Your Kit back in March to give away brand new adidas football kits to youth teams across the UK who were struggling to get sponsors.
In all 30 teams from England, Scotland and Wales have benefitted - each winning a new strip for 14 outfield players and one goalkeeper through iomart Hosting’s partnership with Greaves Sports, the official retail partner of the Scottish Football Association.
Phil Worms, Director of Marketing for iomart Hosting, said: “With the opening ceremony for London 2012 taking place today we felt it was the perfect moment to announce the final winners of our sports campaign. The Olympics is inspiring for Britain and we wanted to reflect this with our own campaign to promote sport in the community. We are delighted that we have been able to give 30 young teams across the country a free top quality kit.”
In all over 500 teams took part in Host Your Kit and the campaign has gained hundreds of followers on Facebook and Twitter (@hostyourkit).
