WebitPR Boosts Team With Appointment of Executive Chairman

WebitPR, the unique online news distribution and monitoring company, has appointed Adam Parker as its new Executive Chairman following a number of years as a Non-Executive board member.

Adam, (34) from Newcastle, has been appointed to this role in a move to maximise the current market potential for online news distribution and coverage monitoring. He previously worked for more than 10 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers initially qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and subsequently dealing with corporate finance clients and advising Local Government on Public Private Partnerships. In his new role Adam will focus on developing the company’s new business campaign and expanding its client base.

WebitPR – www.webitpr.com - offers a unique all-in-one online news distribution and coverage monitoring service and has handled news releases for some of the world’s leading names. It has achieved outstanding results with a variety of clients, including both public relations agencies and in-house departments.

Adam’s appointment comes after WebitPR enjoyed an excellent start to the year with Q1 representing its most successful quarter since its inception in 2001, exceeding all targets.

“Online news distribution is rapidly growing into the must-have resource for any agency or in-house department and with WebitPR’s current success it’s really a great time for me to join the company and help take it even further forward,” said Adam.

WebitPR has also recently upgraded its technology infrastructure, and has switched the hosting of its website to one of the world’s leading Web Hosting companies, which currently handles over 1% of the world’s Internet traffic. In addition to this, WebitPR has expanded its operations team to cope with the extra demand for the company’s service.

Managing Director of WebitPR, Jonathan Dolby, said: “The business has not only met but exceeded many of its targets over the last few months and I’m confident that with our system improvements and Adam’s appointment we can reach even more aggressive targets we have set for ourselves in 2006.”

WebitPR was aimed initially at the telecommunications and IT sectors, but has since expanded to cover a much wider range of industry sectors including pharmaceutical, fuel cells, and computer gaming.
