Aachen, Germany, October 8, 2009 — V-Gate today announced its participation in the ng Connect Program, a new multi-industry initiative to drive the development of next generation broadband services based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and other ultra high bandwidth technologies. V-Gate provides innovative solutions for telematics and the transmission of 3D content to mobile devices. V-Gate will launch caribo, the first mobile ride sharing community in October 2009.

Caribo (www.caribo.mobi) is a service which allows users to combine all available transportation options in one application on a passenger’s mobile device: Everywhere, any time, in the same way with an extremely user-friendly interface. caribo eliminates the drawbacks associated with existing ridesharing, car sharing, taxi-finding systems by combining the newest mobile internet, geo-positioning and community technology in an easy-to-use service.

“Using new concepts and technologies, V-Gate is establishing a new area of mobile services. Our innovative products will enable the next generation of applications for mobile devices. With products like Metaport or caribo we show in an impressive way the possibilities of mobile applications. One of the key reasons we joined the ng Connect Program is to participate in a group of great companies driven by a joint vision for next generation services,” stated Markus Schindler, CEO of V-Gate.
