Tomorrow will see the launch of the much heralded Apple iSlate, the new eReader tablet device set to take on Amazon’s Kindle and the Sony Reader.
Industry experts envision that the Apple iSlate will do for eReaders what the iPod did for the music industry and the iPhone for the telecom sector. Significant industry-changing developments are expected to be announced with major implications for publishers.
Robert Elding, marketing director of YUDU Media, the UK’s leading e-publisher with a multi-award winning technology platform, is available to talk to journalists following the launch of the Apple iSlate.
He can be contacted on 0207 484 2784 (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
Elding, ex-head of Online Marketing at The Times newspaper and Internet consultant at BBC and BSkyB, says: “the US Book Industry Study Group recently found that every fifth reader in the US stopped buying paper books in 2009 and switched entirely to digital editions, otherwise known as eBooks (or e-books). “
“This is a seismic shift in reading habits which is set to change even further with the launch of the iSlate.”
