This enables the request-driven, policy-enabled IT asset management control needed to address VM sprawl and the potential license and security problems that can result. Asset Lifecycle Manager also includes a connector for Avocent’s datacenter planning and administration tool, Avocent Mergepoint Infrastructure Explorer (AMIE), which extends the reach of the asset repository into the datacenter infrastructure. Integration and Control
The automation and process control embedded in Asset Lifecycle Manager increases efficiency and centralized control with the delivery of automated responses to requests or events.
