Aspera SmartTrack Receives Application Certification from ServiceNow

Aachen – March 3, 2016 Aspera today announced it has received certification of its application with ServiceNow®. Certification by ServiceNow signifies that Aspera SmartTrack 4 has successfully completed a set of defined tests focused on integration interoperability, security and performance. The certification also ensures best practices are utilized in the design and implementations of SmartTrack’s Application with ServiceNow.

SmartTrack is an end-to-end License Management solution that enables large and enterprise companies to correctly allocate their software licenses, identify up to 30 percent savings, and reveal high-risk compliance gaps. The new SmartTrack Integration App brings critical features to any complex SAM system:

- Automates the import of data from ServiceNow into SmartTrack, including CMDB, software usage, user, cost center and location data.
- Enhances compliance reporting within SmartTrack by using CMDB and software usage captured by ServiceNow, and supplementing the data already in SmartTrack.
- Supports software request integration between SmartTrack and ServiceNow, which can be built to a company’s custom requirements.

With the powerful combination of SmartTrack and the SmartTrack Integration App, an organization will always know its exact license demand. SmartTrack can quickly normalize and consolidate ServiceNow data with the asset and discovery information from other system sources. Then the platform instantly calculates the software licenses a company owns against the licenses it needs, revealing where it’s over-licensed, under-licensed, or incorrectly licensed.
