Last night, Centaur Media scooped a coveted award at the highly regarded 2014 PPA Connect Awards.
The Festival of Marketing, created by Econsultancy, Marketing Week, Creative Review and Design Week, was announced as Launch Event of the Year. Like SXSW and Cannes Lions, FoM gave the marketing, digital, creative and media industries a home and the platform to showcase the UK’s best work, talent, technology and creative prowess in an era of marketing driven by customer experience.
The event attracted more than 3,000 marketers to thought-leading sessions from brands including Google, Adobe, Barclays, American Express, Coca Cola and many more and brought together many partners from Oracle to YouGov. The event took place on 12 – 13 November 2014 at London’s Tobacco Dock.

The award follows on the heels of two earlier wins for Centaur Media at the PPA Digital Awards. Foresight News, the essential calendar of forthcoming news and events, used by media, PR agencies and press offices around the world, attained a win for its newly refreshed website with new EPG functionality which the judges thought was “genuinely new and different”. The tool combines a range of short and long-lead global content with cutting-edge tools and functionality.

Centaur Media’s Digital Team also walked away with a win for Development Team of the Year for its work on Celebrity Intelligence, Fashion Monitor and Foresight News over the past 12 months, with the judges praising the team for its “focus on front end technologies that enabled them to create intuitive user interfaces”.
In addition to this, Centaur Media’s Profile Group subscription sales operations received a high commendation while Econsultancy’s digital marketing team and Celebrity Intelligence each secured shortlistings, making Centaur the most successful B2B media organisation at this year’s awards.
Centaur has now won six national media awards in the past six months with the success at the PPA Digitals and PPA Connect awards following on from recognition in the summer at the PPA and AEO Awards.
