Esteemed panel of industry experts gives RGB Networks CloudXtream an exceptional 4.0 rating

RGB Networks, the leading provider of the industry’s most scalable and unified solutions for multiscreen video delivery, today announced that its new ‘CloudXtream’ solution portfolio has received a coveted 4.0 rating in Broadband Technology Report’s highly regarded 2014 Diamond Technology Reviews. CloudXtream is an orchestrated cloud solution based on the industry standard open source cloud operating system OpenStack, to facilitate and accelerate the deployment of essential monetization services such as Ad Insertion for Multiscreen (AIM) and network DVR (nDVR).

“Receiving a high 4.0 Diamond ranking from the Broadband Technology Report’s panel of esteemed cable engineers just one year since we launched CloudXtream clearly shows that the industry recognizes the unique value proposition offered by RGB,” said Simone Sassoli, VP of marketing and business development at RGB Networks. “With CloudXtream, all the necessary components required to deliver a premium quality viewing experience – from state-of-the art adaptive bit rate (ABR) transcoding and packaging to recording and playback – can all work together in one seamless architecture.”

RGB CloudXtream provides the ability to integrate and deploy turnkey video applications out-of-the-box, on to bare metal servers, a private cloud, or public cloud. It integrates with other cloud-based applications to provide a new dimension in the deployment for video services, all over IP, geo-redundant, highly scalable and able to respond to elastic demand for transcoding, Just-in-Time Packaging (JITP), IP streaming, nDVR storage, and Ad Insertion. It can co-exist in hybrid environments and its OpenStack framework enables deployment of up to hundreds of application instances in a matter of minutes. Focused on economies of scale, CloudXtream ultimately accelerates the deployment of new, revenue generating services and helps any operator looking to move towards an all IP infrastructure. Capable of supporting the delivery of content to a multitude of device types regardless of protocol in use, CloudXtream ensures video service providers (VSPs) do so in a cost-effective and sustainable way.
