London/Monaco 12 May 2016 - Datacloud Europe (http://www.datacloudcongress.com/) the region’s foremost networking and business deal making forum for data center and cloud players, their customers, investors and suppliers is delighted to announce the keynote opening by Schneider Electric (http://www.schneider-electric.com/ww/en/) also patron of the event.
Mark Bidinger, President, Cloud and Service Provider Segment, Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, will present the opening keynote at the event which takes place in Monaco 8-9 June.
While Big Data and IoT are driving data center expansion with data typically stored in massive facilities in and around key cities, Schneider Electric will argue that data centers are not being constructed fast enough to keep up with demand.
More importantly, some cloud based applications or services do not meet customer requirements if they are too remote and hindered with excessive latency. The opportunity is open for Colocation providers to deploy data centers with speed at the regional level or at the network edge. These facilities quite literally extend the “edge” of the internet further from the traditional internet hubs and represent a new market opportunity.
The keynote will assess leading technologies and techniques such as Lithium-Ion, prefabrication, modularity, Open Compute Architectures, and automated design tools being utilized to bring local capacity on-line fast.
“Colocation is an industry in transformation rising to the challenge of Internet of Things and Cloud computing. Colocation providers need to adapt to the speed of business and meet ever-changing customer requirements. The Datacloud annual congress in Monaco will address these mission critical issues, and I look forward to discussing how colocation providers can meet fast, close design and build of large data centers at the regional level and at the network edge” commented Mark Bidinger, President Cloud & Service Providers Segment at Schneider Electric.
Schneider Electric will take the stage along with leaders from global players including Facebook, Level 3, Telefónica, LinkedIn, Proctor & Gamble, Google, and other infrastructure senior executives.
Attending for the first time this year, Kathy Schneider, Senior VP Product and Marketing EMEA at Level 3 Communications (http://www.level3.com/en/) commented: “Enterprises look for three things: achieving growth, doing so efficiently and ensuring security. As a global network service provider, we will share our perspective at DataCloud on how an effective cloud strategy founded on a truly global and scalable network can address these key enterprise concerns.”
