SANTA CLARA, Calif. – October 02, 2013 – Avaya today announced that its Avaya Scopia® Videoconferencing solution has been named a “strong performer” in a September, 2013 report on desktop videoconferencing from Forrester Research, Inc. “The Forrester Wave™: Desktop Videoconferencing, Q3 2013” report evaluates the product offering, strategy and market presence of Avaya and nine other desktop videoconferencing vendors based on 60 performance criteria.
Avaya Scopia Desktop is cited as a great all-around choice for video quality and interoperability. It received its highest scores in video conferencing features, user experience, on-premises deployment and third-party hosting options, and experience.
Scopia Desktop and Mobile extend the value of traditional videoconferencing to remote users so they can participate in voice and video conferences and content–sharing from anywhere, on virtually any device over any broadband connection.

Forrester’s research shows adoption of videoconferencing is growing, especially among younger generations of workers, with new videoconferencing innovations happening on the PCs, smartphones, tablets and other devices that workers use in their everyday jobs.
