Leading European systems integrator teams with semantic search innovator to provide data alignment solutions for Telcos

London, UK – 1st  February, 2011:  Today, Ontology Systems and Capgemini Italia announce a strategic relationship to build and deliver Enterprise Data Alignment (EDA) solutions for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) who want to search and align valuable knowledge from the customer, service and network data distributed across their operational, business and infrastructure systems. 

The partnership, initially focused on Italian CSPs, was formed 6 months ago and has already resulted in engagements which are rapidly delivering solutions to large Italian operators.   Based on this early success, the partnership is planned to extend to more CSPs across Europe throughout 2011 and beyond.

Data misalignment is a root cause of low customer profit, high customer cost and lack of agility for CSPs.  Specifically data misalignment results in:

  • revenue leakage,

  • inaccurate Service and Management,

  • uncoordinated customer service, and

  • failed system transformation and migrations.

The Capgemini Italia / Ontology Systems partnership provides semantic search solutions based on Ontology’s award winning OSS/CAD tool. The solutions delivered to CSPs provide a single correct and joined up view of their critical business concepts including customers, services and network assets and enable a number of high-value use cases to be implemented using existing data.
