Leading European systems integrator partners with semantic search innovator to provide data alignment solutions for Telcos
London, UK - 27 April, 2011: Today, Ontology Systems and Logica announce a strategic relationship to provide Enterprise Data Alignment (EDA) solutions for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) who want to search and align valuable knowledge from the customer, service and network data distributed across their operational, business and infrastructure systems.
The partnership has been driven by customer demand in Central and Eastern Europe and leverages Ontology's technical innovation with Logica's well respected and established capability within the region.
Data misalignment is a root cause of low customer profit, high customer cost and lack of agility for CSPs. Specifically data misalignment results in:
unintentional revenue loss,
customer churn through inaccurate Customer and Service Management, and,
the unacceptably high risk of a failed system transformation or migration.
The Logica Ontology Systems partnership provides semantic search solutions based on Ontology 3, the award winning semantic search product. The solutions delivered to CSPs provide a single correct and joined up view of their critical business concepts including customers, services and network assets enabling a number of high-value use cases to be implemented using existing data.
Anton Štupák, Managing Director for Telecoms CEE, Logica, commented: "Logica has a deep-rooted reputation for its communications industry knowledge, expertise and solutions. Our partnership with Ontology enables Logica to combine our core strengths with Ontology's technical excellence to bring truly innovative solutions to our customers. We look forward to engaging CSPs across Europe with this exciting new solution."
Benedict Enweani, CEO of Ontology Systems concluded: "We are pleased to be working with one the communications industry's most respected solution providers and are also delighted that Ontology 3 is now established in Central and Eastern Europe. We are looking forward to providing truly ground breaking solutions to our mutual customer in 2011 and beyond."

About Ontology Systems
Leading service providers are using Ontology 3 to finally solve the problem of misaligned data across their systems. Ontology 3 gives them an aligned view of their BSS/OSS data to resolve billing disputes, find leaking revenue, notify customers of service faults and configuration impacts, and automate stalled system migrations.
Ontology 3 aligns data with unprecedented speed and accuracy, and at a fraction of the cost you would expect. The key to making it possible is Ontology's use of semantic technology, originally developed for intelligence applications. It lets Ontology 3 build an end-to-end aligned view of OSS, BSS and network data, from the bottom up and without any disruption to existing systems.
Based in London and founded in 2006, Ontology's customers include BT, Internet Solutions, MBNL, Neotel and Telenor. Ontology has received recent widespread industry recognition:
Ontology is included in both Gartner's "Cool Vendors in Telecom Operations Management Systems, 2010" and Stratecast's "Global OSS/BSS Rat Pack - Stratecast's 10 To Watch in 2010".
Ontology is the application at the centre of BT's award winning "Semantic Toolset to Optimise Business Transformations" project, which won both the TM Forum Business Innovation Award 2010 and Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards 2010.
