LONDON, UK, 22 August, 2013 — Courion® Corporation, the leader in risk-driven identity and access management (IAM), has announced that it will be hosting a seminar on the lessons from the collapse of Barings bank with Nick Leeson as a guest speaker. The event will explore what organisations have learnt about managing access risks since the unspotted rogue trading brought down the bank in 1995.
Nick Leeson will provide a unique insider perspective on the topic of identity and access risk and will discuss how he used an unchecked brokerage account set up in error to hide more than a billion dollars in financial losses, resulting in the biggest financial scandal of the 20th century.
Courion will discuss how institutions need to evolve their identity and access management solutions to prevent present day and future rogue employee insider threats. Kurt Johnson, VP business strategy at Courion, will speak on How An Organisation Can Utilise Advanced Identity and Access Capabilities To Detect Risks. He will explore the current access risk threats facing today’s organisations and will discuss how real-time access intelligence can address these challenges and mitigate the risk of insider breaches.
The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with Nick Leeson and experts from Courion, Ping Identity and Deloitte.
