High Wycombe, UK, 19 July 2016 - Star Micronics announces that it has enhanced mPOP™, its unique combined Bluetooth printer and cash drawer mobile point of purchase solution with a POPPack option to create a flexible and stylish mPOS station. This new option includes a high quality black or white tablet stand and metal plate with alternative colours available if required. A black or white PED (pin entry device) stand is also available for card payment.
The universal tablet frame that is attached to the mPOP metal plate has a sponge inner sleeve to accommodate 10 inch tablets and can be turned 180 degrees to allow the customer to view the transaction. Simple to set up, the tablet stand and plate option adds the finishing touch to mPOP to create a stylish, portable mPOS station.
The POPPack design provides a flexible option with the extra security required within a busy retail environment, whilst retaining the mobile element. This makes the solution ideal for pop up stores, micro merchants as well as larger scale retailers who benefit from the ability to securely store or transport the mPOS station at the end of trading.
mPOP provides a low cost, lightweight solution that is just 10cm high and 30cm wide with a sleek design. With intuitive top loading as well as a partial cut guillotine, the reliable thermal printer automatically cuts the 58mm wide receipt. Available in black or white, mPOP can be purchased with a plug and play scanner or this can be added as a later option.
Whether you are a high street retailer, a pop up store or a restaurant, tablet POS has significant advantages for your business. The undisputed benefits of mPOS technology include reduced investment costs, easy set up and flexibility to immediately react to market changes, not to mention greater efficiencies. Coupled with reliable, stylish hardware retailers can benefit from an mPOS solution that provides a wealth of features.
Annette Tarlton, Marketing Director, Star Micronics EMEA, states: “Given the popularity of mPOP™, Star has launched POPPack to provide retailers with a low cost option that transforms Star’s combined Bluetooth printer and cash drawer solution into a secure mobile mPOS station that will complement any counter top.”
