Homegroup Set to Halve its £1 Million Annual Travel Spend Using Online Meetings and Webinars


GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar deliver cost savings and productivity benefits key to company-wide transformation programme

Amersham, UK. - 20th October, 2009: Homegroup, one of the UK’s largest regional social landlords, is using Citrix Online’s web conferencing technologies to help transform the way they do business. The tools are enabling more than 4,000 employees to communicate online across Homes’ 565 UK locations significantly cutting their million pound travel expense budget, and increasing employee productivity and customer service. Their adoption of the technologies is part of a company-wide transformation programme to improve customer satisfaction, rationalise complex business processes and reduce company expenditure.

Using Citrix Online’s award-winning online meeting service GoToMeeting, Homegroup has removed the need for non essential travel to face-to-face meetings by conducting online sessions between dispersed staff and project teams. Also because meetings can be started instantly from any desktop, Homegroup has also eliminated the time and hassle of organising complex (and costly) meetings. Sessions can be arranged with ease whenever they are required, and at very short notice.

Homegroup is using Citrix Online’s web event service GoToWebinar to communicate CEO company announcements and plans to up to include up to 1,000 people at one time. Its streamlined self-service interface with handy record feature ensures anyone who is unable to attend the session doesn’t miss out on key developments.
