Around 2 billion cards and letters will be collected and delivered in the run up to Christmas Eve, and 750,000 of these letters will be addressed to one very special person with a big job to do for children – yes, they’re all letters to Santa!

Now parents and carers, grandparents and family friends can sprinkle some Christmas magic – and help support the NSPCC (http://www.nspcc.org.uk/santa) – by arranging for a personalised Letter from Santa to be delivered to a child close to their heart.

Letter from Santa, sponsored by Hotpoint, is a great way to create some Christmas magic for children. For a suggested donation of just 5GBP, parents and family friends will also be helping NSPCC protect more children.

Over the 12 days of festive cheer last year, ChildLine – a service provided by the NSPCC - counselled 4,928 children who were in danger or distress and had nowhere else to turn.

NSPCC fundraiser Lucy Hale says: “It’s important to remember that Christmas is not a time of celebration for every child. By supporting Letter from Santa you will be helping NSPCC to provide support, advice and protection for children who are in desperate need of help.”

“NSPCC Letter from Santa is a brilliant way to create the festive spirit and make a child’s Christmas very special. For a suggested donation of just 5GBP, they will receive a personalised letter, flown all the way from Lapland by Santa’s trusted reindeer, Rudolph.”

Just go to http://www.nspcc.org.uk/santa or call 0870 325 9012 to order your letter – and remember that Santa’s last posting date is no later than the 16 December!

Alternatively look out for a Letter from Santa postcard in your local Debenhams or SPAR store.
