Pricing starts from £149 to distribute one release. Pricing depends on two variables;

  • the type of release you do, a standard release (sendit) or a social media release (blogit); and
  • the amount of coverage monitoring and reporting that you require, your choice of none, 2, 5 or 10 working days tracking and reporting.
ShowDo you give discounts if I bulk buy?

Yes we do. Discounts start with a minimum commitment of 10 press releases to be issued over the space of 12 months. You can either purchase releases in advance or you can purchase a monthly allowance (for a minimum of 12 months). Please contact us for more details of the level discount we would be able to offer you.

How it works

ShowWhat do you mean by "sender" and "receiver"?

RealWire has two audiences - the clients that send news content, and the editors, journalists, publishers and bloggers that receive it. So a sender is an organisation or person that uses RealWire to distribute their news release content. A receiver is the editor, journalist, publisher or blogger receiving any press releases issued by RealWire that are relevant to their news focus.

ShowCan you help me write my release?

No. RealWire doesn't offer writing services. However we are able to recommend people that do through our extensive contacts within the PR industry. What we will do though is review your press release when it comes in to us, so that we can advise on how best to structure the release and what content to include, when required.

ShowHow can I send you a press release and view my coverage?

All release activity takes place in your clients's area on www.realwire.com/clients by logging into our site, www.realwire.com/login.asp. From the portal you can upload a release along with supporting multimedia content and also download coverage and view reporting statistics.

ShowWhat are your working hours?

These are 08:00 - 17:30 GMT/BST.
For out of hours distribution, please contact us for availability and pricing.

ShowHow can I set up an account?

You can setup your account here.

Alternatively if you call the office on +44 (0)1522 883640 we will be able to set you up with your own user details which will give you access to your own area.
Before setting you up with user details we will need some information from you: company name, billing address, contact number, VAT number (if in Europe), and accounts contact details.

From there your account manager will guide you through our service and show you how to benefit from using our service.

When your target regions include international markets your news can than be read by a much wider audience. Sending releases in your target group's mother language can even enhance your credibility.

If you have your own translations RealWire will send your release to additional language specific sites for an extra cost of only £50 (+VAT) per release per language. If you need the translations themselves as well we can arrange this through our partners Creative Translation from £240 (+VAT) per release.

ShowWhere does my release go? Who receives my release?

When you send a release through RealWire it is sent online to relevant editors, bloggers, social media sites, and selective and non-selective news sites based on their industry and geographic classification.

Evaluation

ShowWhat does relevant coverage mean?

Your release can only achieve its full potential when it will be read by the right people - therefore it has to be in the right media. Because we know that your news deserves the highest attention from an interested audience, we strive to ensure that your releases appear on websites which covers your specific topic. A relevant piece of coverage is able to influence decision makers, customers, opinion formers and stakeholders.

ShowHow much coverage can I expect?

Coverage results obviously vary from release to release. We prefer to think in terms of potential influence rather than absolute numbers of clippings. An analysis of the mix of coverage in terms of type and influence is included here along with how our results compare to the major wire services.

We also provide our RealWire Influence Rating™ and Release Performance Score™ tools so you can understand the performance of your release in potential influence terms rather than just clippings.

ShowWhat is the RealWire Influence Rating?

The RealWire Influence Rating provides you with a rating to determine a site's level of influence within its industry. The RIR is calculated on based a number of different factors. These factors are:-
Site target audience
Coverage language
Site location
Readership
Publisher
Advertising rates
Alexa overall rank
Site online since
Other sites linking in
Navigation
Reputation
Presentation
Speed

The more stars, the more influence the site has within its industry. More information can be found here.

ShowWhat is a Release Performance Score?

This is our measure of the relative impact that your company's press release has had in comparison to other press releases in the same industry sent by RealWire. It helps you to understand what the media are likely to find interesting so that you can tailor your stories better. More information can be found here.

Why RealWire?

ShowWhy should I use RealWire with my release, and not one of the other wire services?

We think there are four main reasons:

We understand the online media - we have been specialising in this medium for seventeen years, our online media video is on over 100 sites around the world and we were the first European distribution company to offer the Social Media News Release back in summer 2007.

We get real results and help you understand them - our tracking indicates our coverage results are second to none and we are the only wire service to offer tracking and evaluation using our RealWire Influence Rating™ and Release Performance Score™ tools.

We are cost effective- distribution starts from only £149* including unlimited words, industry and geographic categories and inclusive images and supporting documents. Tracking and evaluation starts from an additional £100*.

We are easy to deal with - our people and our online platform are regularly praised by both senders and receivers of news releases as being helpful and easy to deal with. So you can spend your time focusing on your own business.

ShowWhy did you change your name?

In January 2009 webitpr became RealWire. This change of identity better reflects who our company is and what we do.

The change was in response to client feedback that 'webitpr' did not communicate the distribution service it provides to worldwide PR agency and corporate clients. The RealWire name is more aligned with our company's service and attitude - a news Wire service delivered to you by Real people.
